Modelling and Simulation
Using programs such as MATHCAD and PSPICE, it is possible to model virtually any electrical engineering problem providing the system can be described mathematically. Specialised models and simulations have been developed for customers, where no commercial tools were available. The following projects have been undertaken:
- Multipath and offender tag diversity receiver investigation, shown above
- Inverse Chirp Z and IFFT transforms for frequency to time domain conversion in radar systems
- Prediction of phase and amplitude inbalance effects in a gradiometer antenna
- Prediction of VCO non linearity effects and bandwidth limitations in a swept synthesiser for a fast scanning receiver
- PSPICE evaluation of mutual coupling in close coupled RFID (magnetic) circuits
- Fresnel zone clearance calculations
- Okumura-Hata/COST path prediction
- Model of ringing artefacts in a SAW based transducer
